Transcripts
Transcripts come in multiple forms and fall under one of two general categories: official and unofficial. NB: The Dean’s Office is not able to print or forward any type of academic record (official or unofficial). Please read below for more about transcripts.
Unofficial Transcripts
Unofficial transcripts are photocopies of your official transcript.
If you need an unofficial Academic Record, go to the Yale Hub website and follow the steps provided in order to print a copy of your acdemic record.
Official Transcripts
Official transcripts are only issued by the Office of the Registrar.
Current students and alumni with an active Yale NetID order by signing in through Yale Hub website and following the steps provided to order a copy of your transcript.
Alumni and former students unable to sign in to Yale Hub will order directly through the Parchment website.
Verification of Enrollment
Only the University Registrar’s Office can provide enrollment verifications.
Dossier Service
Students can use Interfolio as a dossier service to request letters of recommendation for employers, schools, or fellowships. Students are encouraged to ask instructors to write and upload letters for this dossier file throughout their college career, so that recommendations are ready whenever opportunities rise. For more about this service, please consult the Office of Career Strategy website or talk with an OCS counselor.
How to Collect Letters
- Set up your Free Dossier Account with Interfolio (the information is at the bottom of the linked web page).
- Request your individual letters of recommendation/evaluation through your account. It is recommended letters are submitted by early May.
How to Transmit Letters
The application services (AMCAS, TMDSAS, AACOMAS, AADSAS, etc.) will open in May or June for the current application cycle.
- Submit your application to your intended application service (AMCAS, TMDSAS, AACOMAS, AADSAS, etc.)
- To activate delivery of your recommendation letters to an application service, please follow the instructions provided by Interfolio Dossier Deliver for each application service.
Letters for Medical School Applications
Letters for use in connection with applications to medical school must not be sent to the dean’s office, but only to the office of the Health Professions Advisory Board at Undergraduate Career Services, 55 Whitney Avenue, where the appropriate evaluation forms may be obtained.
