Gladys Idelis Nieves is a graduate of Yale University, Class of ‘94 and the New York University School of Law, Class of’ ‘99. Nieves currently serves as a Connecticut Superior Court Judge. Prior to serving as Superior Court Judge, she worked for the CT Judicial Branch as a Family Support Magistrate, and as a solo practitioner with the Law Office of Gladys I. Nieves specializing in Family and Child Welfare litigation since 2007. Before starting her law practice, she worked for three years as the Senior Staff Attorney with the Center for Children’s Advocacy, as well as with the Legal Aid Society, Juvenile Rights Division in New York City. Ms. Nieves also worked as a litigation associate at the law firm of Pryor, Cashman, Sherman & Flynn and the New York County District Attorney’s Office, Family Violence Unit.
