After graduating from Yale in 1984, Michael Kaplan attended Cornell Medical College. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Columbia and returned to Yale for a child psychiatry fellowship. He lives and works in New Haven, where he has a private practice. Dr. Kaplan is affiliated with the Yale Child Study Center, where he supervises residents and fellows in training. He has a strong interest in mental health collaboration with schools, consulting widely to public schools in the state as well as being the consulting psychiatrist at Foote School in New Haven and Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford.
